Lake Elsinore
is located southeast of Los Angeles in Riverside County, surrounded by the picturesque Ortega Mountains. Lake Elsinore is southern California’s largest natural lake, and is conveniently located along theI-15 corridor. The lake offers day use and beach areas, a boat launch and marina, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, water skiing and beach activities; plus, a recreation area and picnicking. Lake Elsinore, the town, has seen tremendous growth in recent years. This town of approximately 35,000 residents offers year round mild climate, lots of attractions, affordable lodging, shopping and dining opportunities – all surrounding by the beauty and tranquility of the lake. Other attractions in Lake Elsinore besides the lake include a historic downtown that features an Open Air Market each 1st Sunday of the month, and a Classic Car Show monthly, on every 4th Saturday. The Lake Elsinore Outlet Stores contain over 100 brand name stores with factory outlet prices, and Lake Elsinore is also home to a resort/casino. A brand new, challenging skate park has recently been added to McVicker State Park, and Lake Elsinore is home to a Single A baseball team and the Diamond Stadium. For the adventurous, skydiving is also available in the scenic Elsinore Valley. Lake Elsinore is also just a short drive to southern California’s Cleveland National Forest.

The lush valley region located between Los Angeles and San Diego enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate. Elevations range from 1,175 feet in the east to 2,600 feet in the west. The weather is comparable to the Napa Valley in the northern part of the state, with warm, dry days and cool evenings. Located near the Pacific Ocean, the warm summer temperatures are often cooled by afternoon ocean breezes blowing in to the valley through gaps in the Santa Ana foothills. Although separated from the Pacific by the Santa Rosa Mountain rag, the Rainbow Gap funnels the mild beach climate into the valley. Mild wintertime temperatures average in the mid-60's. Yearly average rainfall is approximately 14 inches, and the air quality is consistently better than that of surrounding communities.
