Canyon Lake
is a gated community of approximately 26,000 residents, located in Riverside County. Canyon Lake is a young town, having incorporated in 1989 after members of the Canyon Lake Homeowners Association determined the need for incorporating as a city. Homes and businesses surround the beautiful blue waters of Canyon Bay, Holiday Bay and Mariner’s Bay. Canyon Lake contains several private parks that offer beaches, water skiing, hiking trails, tennis courts, dock areas and campgrounds. The town also has an amphitheater for outdoor concerts, an equestrian center, a lodge and a country club and golf course. If you’re looking for a private, safe place to visit, Canyon Lake has lots to offer in services, activities and amenities. This family oriented community focuses on creating a high quality of life with recreational and cultural opportunities for people of all ages. The lush valley region located between Los Angeles and San Diego enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate. Elevations range from 1,175 feet in the east to 2,600 feet in the west. The weather is comparable to the Napa Valley in the northern part of the state, with warm, dry days and cool evenings. Located near the Pacific Ocean, the warm summer temperatures are often cooled by afternoon ocean breezes blowing in to the valley through gaps in the Santa Ana foothills. Although separated from the Pacific by the Santa Rosa Mountain rag, the Rainbow Gap funnels the mild beach climate into the valley. Mild wintertime temperatures average in the mid-60%u2019s. Yearly average rainfall is approximately 14 inches, and the air quality is consistently better than that of surrounding communities.
