Corona
is an upscale community located approximately 45 miles southeast of Los Angeles in Riverside County. When it was founded in 1886, Corona was a small farming community known for its fertile lands and produce. City officials decided to build the town around a central point known as “Grand Boulevard,” which was lined with pepper trees. Most homes and businesses were built out around this circle, thus giving the town the nickname “The Circle City.” Today, the 141,000 residents of this pristine, lovely community have a high quality of life, where most of the population is made up of young, well-educated families. The city boasts 394 acres of parks, many sports fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds, and two skateparks. The Corona Public Library and the Fender Museum of Music and the Arts provide cultural and educational programming, and the Senior Center is a hub of activity with programs, workshops and social gatherings for the city’s elders. There are several golf courses located in Corona, and the city is also home to a hot springs spa that offers mud baths and professional salon treatments. Corona is only twenty miles to Disneyland and strategically situated near many other southern California attractions.

California's climate varies significantly from one location to the next. Basically, it is semi-tropical along the southern coast with pleasant temperatures during the entire year. Mountain regions can be cooler, especially at night, than nearer the coast. Cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean help moderate the heat in summertime, and keeps temperatures very mild in winter. Summers are dry and the rainy season runs November through March and sometimes April. Low clouds or fog is common along the coast in summer, but it almost always burns off by noon and you can expect sunshine the rest of the day. The Santa Ana winds blow hot and dry out of the south in winter %u2013 often hard enough to close some highways.
