Situated at the southern end of San Luis Obispo County, this is a quaint, friendly town with rolling hills, sand dunes, roads lined with hundreds of blue gum eucalyptus trees, and avocado and lemon orchards. You will find everything you need here in the way of shopping, restaurants and lodging, including a beautiful historic bed & breakfast. Nipomo is most well known for it’s beautiful 27-hole golf resort, which is a unique and affordable public golf course. There are also nearby wineries and beach towns to explore, and day trips take you to the fascinating Hearst Castle, or to nearby Morro Bay or Pismo Beach. Back in town, a swap meet takes place on the hillside along Highway 101 each weekend. Other things to see include a real working ranch with horses, a variety of other animals, gardens and fruit trees. The ranch offers day hikes, bike and horseback rides. For history buffs, there is the 19th century historic landmark adobe home and ranch of Captain Dana, open for tours. Nipomo has a small town atmosphere with plenty of open space to walk, run, bike, or simply sit on a sand dune and contemplate life! For the ultimate in relaxation, retreat to picturesque Nipomo!

A Mild, Mediterranean climate describes the central coast of California that lies between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The area near San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year and very pleasant temperatures year round.
The terrain is made up of sandy beaches, gently rolling hills and sand dunes, lush foliage and vineyards. Cool ocean breezes keep temperatures from becoming too hot in the summertime. Low clouds and patchy fog are common on summer days, but it almost always burns off by midday. Conditions are very dry, and the occasional summer thunderstorm produces so little precipitation that range and forest fires often result from lightening strikes. In winter, the semi-permanent Pacific Ocean high retreats bringing rain into the area from November through March. These storms are widespread and at times heavy.
